Join us November 6th at 7:00pm as Dr. Greg Edwards, master clarinetist, saxophonist and composer, discusses the life, legacy and music of Sidney Bechet. The evening will begin with a discussion of Bechet, incorporating rare film footage and recordings. The discussion will be followed by an incredible meal of New Orlean’s specialties prepared by Executive Chef Christopher Goodwin. The evening will be rounded out with a performance of Bechet’s music by Edwards, Dave Leonhardt (piano), and Colby Inzer (drums).
Inaugural Wine Dinner! Thursday November 10th 2016
We are excited to announce the launch of our monthly wine dinners. The dinners will each feature a different national cuisine paired with wines from each nation. The inaugural dinner will be Thursday, November 10th. Since we are 187 Rue Principale, we will of course, begin with France. Terry Balent from Southern Wines and Spirits will perfectly pair wines to a four course French dinner. He will give insight into the origins, flavor profiles, and vineyards of the featured wines. The cost is $45 a person and includes the dinner and wine.
2nd Anniversary Celebration! Thursday November 17th 2016
Join us for our 2nd Anniversary Celebration! On Thursday November 17th, in addition to our regular menu we will be offering a special six course Chef’s tasting dinner. The dinner will feature special preparations of products from each of our farmer partners. The dinner is $80 with an optional $30 wine pairing.
